In a unique project, they and other female photographers from Iraq depict their country through their own stories. They visited Sweden to present their photojournalistic work in an exhibition at the Global Festival in Stockholm. You can view the entire exhibition digitally here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Stockholm exhibition marked the conclusion of the collaboration project between Global Reporting and the Framing Photojournalism School in Erbil, Iraq. The project, aimed at providing advanced training and expanding opportunities for female press photographers in Iraq, was part of the Swedish Institute&#8217;s Creative Partnership program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Out of more than a thousand female photographers, 17 were selected to participate in a photojournalism course. The photography training was led by Anette Nantell, an acclaimed news photographer at <em>Dagens Nyheter<\/em>, and Safin Hamid, one of Iraq\u2019s leading photojournalists and head of AFP&#8217;s photo department in Iraq.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Together with our Iraqi partner, Framing Photojournalist School, we have conducted a training program for female press photographers in Iraq.
